Senior Designer

We’re on the lookout for a talented, experienced senior designer to join the creative team in our Glasgow studio on a full-time basis.

Our standards are high. Our thinking is big. If you want to be part of a creative team that consistently delivers world-class creative for global businesses, here’s what you’ll need:

The role

Your primary responsibility is to ensure the coordination and delivery of consistently excellent, ideas-led design projects on your own and with the wider team here at Good. It’s a “hands on” role that’s vitally important to our studio; you need to be comfortable solving problems and delivering creative work in a matter of days - not just weeks - under the direction and leadership of the design directors and/or creative director.

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of 6-8 years of creative experience, leading projects and working as part of a team in a commercial design environment (either as a freelancer or full-time agency staff).
  • Strong, ideas-led portfolio that demonstrates the ability to develop and execute design ideas across a variety of formats, with careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and succinctly - through written word as well as imagery.
  • Exceptional typography and layout skills.
  • Experience of planning photo/video shoots and directing teams to achieve high-quality final outputs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative software, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Additional experience with digital design tools and/or animation software is not essential, but would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to work seamlessly within a multi-discipline team of designers, planners, account managers and developers.
  • High level creative decision making that will allow you to build trust and relationships with our clients.
  • UI/UX and animation experience would be preferred, but not essential.

What you’ll need to be

  • Driven, ambitious and displaying a serious appetite for solving complex business challenges using creative and strategic thinking.
  • Confident, assertive and committed to producing the highest quality work possible for our clients.
  • A good team player who can inspire confidence in our clients and our design team.
  • Ego-free and open-minded; capable of listening to others and allowing their input to shape your work.
  • Punctual, hard working and hungry to listen, learn and develop alongside the rest of our team.
