Feelance DevOps / SysAdmin

We're on the hunt for freelance DevOps / SysAdmin to help out our digital team.

We maintain a number of Cloud instances across Digital Ocean and Linode for hosting our sites. All are LAMP stack, but with varying software versions to suit the site hosted on it.

We're looking for someone who can audit each instance, perform software updates or patch as required (without breaking the hosted sites) and provide advice and recommendations for hardening. You would then be able to provide periodic, ongoing support as required.

In addition you will be able to provide more substantial holiday cover a few times a year. In the event of a problem you'd receive an alert if an instance goes down, login and diagnose the issue, get it up and running with the minimum of downtime and provide a short report on what happened, along with recommendations.

You'll need a strong knowledge of:

• Linux (we're using CentOS currently)
• Apache
• MySQL / MariaDB
• PHP (versions 5.4 - 8.1)
• Interrogating and understanding server logs
• Diagnosing and resolving server issues
• Creating and maintaining vhosts
• Managing and renewing Certs as well as generating CSRs
• Debugging and managing CSPs 
• Adding and editing rules on Firewalls

And ideally you'll have some experience with:

• Working with CDN's like Cloudflare
• Using Pingdom for alerts
• Using the dashboards of Digital Ocean and Linode

Although this isn't a web development role, any previous familiarity with Git and Drupal (7 - 9) may be advantageous.
